The bad thing about having younger cousins approaching adulthood is that they get to be teenagers in the meantime.  Slightly whiny teenagers that have begun to notice things like slight overuse of makeup (I was running late this morning and didn't slough off dead skin first, which makes any amount of coverup show up.  Oh the irony).  Ah well ( Read more... )

I, as most of you know, am an only child with a pretty angsty immediate family.  My mom came from a family of six kids (plus one adopted kid that was adopted around the time that my parents got married), with an even larger extended family.  She fondly remembers large, loud, family gatherings when everyone would tease each other and dinner lasted ( Read more... )

June is nearly over, and I haven't done half the things that I've wanted to do.
